Isn't that something Jeff? I'll get the rest out there in 15 minute chunks, which is the max youtube allows. There's quite a bit of footage so it will take a while.

Tom,

It's neat watching the old movies, grain and all. I had no idea this was even out there.

What?!? A table saw, sanding disk, drill press, horizontal borer, and a lathe all in one machine? No way!

Sincerely,

Agreed. That part of the video feels like today's shady infomercials where the "old way" is dramatized to make the new product look more appealing. In my opinion, that's less than honest but this practice has changed significantly over the last fifty years. We don't have as many snake oil salesman in the trades (from my perspective). Those tactics are reserved mostly for the mass-produced imports "As Seen On TV". Even Shopsmith's literature has changed quite a bit from old flyers extolling the machines' "ruggedness," "accuracy," and "simplicity." Today's literature is heavy on facts and makes fewer grandiose claims. At least that's the way I see ti. Don't get me wrong, that was the acceptable way to advertise back then and I love watching it. I didn't know such videos existed!
