That sucks! I had to demolish a Shopsmith chuck recently as it became permanently attached to my Mark VII quill. After much cutting and grinding I finally got it off the quill but not without scarring the end of the quill some. The quill seems fine and works fine but it doesn't look too good anymore. I will get another quill at some point to replace this battle damaged one but for now it works.

Since you already have the skill to disassemble it, contact jacobs re the availability of replacement jaws.

I have been 'waiting' since November for 20N jaws(first shipment from 'far east' was not to 'spec'.
I do not know what if any jaws fit the 'mastercraft' versions.
Might be 'less expensive' to procure used on e-bay!
