Spherical Washer placement?

Guys, I have tried to watch Sawdust Session #24 with care. I am still not 100% sure where the spherical washer (Nick calls it a "domed" washer) is supposed to be. Does it make contact with the quill feed sleeve or does it go between the pinions and the fingers coming down from the headstock? Correct me if I am wrong, the domed part must be to the inside.

Looking in from the speed control side of the headstock, the quill shaft sequence of parts is: hub(with handle), wave washer, internally keyed sleeve(with woodruff key inside keyway), DOMED WASHER with flat side facing the casting 'ear'. In operation, the tightening of the quill lock compresses the wave washer on to the sleeve and the sleeve moves and applies pressure against the convex top of the spherical washer, and the larger diameter opposite side presses against the 'ear'.

That
is a 'detail' in Nick's sawdust session that is ambiguous.

The confusion arises as to which side is 'domed'. I believe he was referring to the concave side as domed.

Thanks! Looks like I need to make a slight adjustment. By the way, thanks for the clear explanation.
