Homemade fetherboard is good for my budget and learning process (novice). But if you drop it, a feather WILL break. Lol

That came out really nice very utilitarian piece of woodworking and damn useful to boot. I am in the same boat as you just starting out with a lot of this stuff so learning slowly the hard way but it is fun.I am trying to only make my mistakes on the crappy pine wood first before I touch the nice maple, cherry, mahoghany, etc. that I recently acquired although I am going to venture forth and make a bandsaw box tomorrow for the wifey out of a huge chunk of the maple I got. Cut two pieces and glued them together tonight and tomorrow the cutting begins should be fun and a good way to start making stuff that isn't going to kill me in the design dept. A good way to slowly build some confidence in my sorely lacking abilities.gat_76 wrote:Lol
Well, i got a late start today. But I finished two more.
Here is a jig to do 45 bevels, since my SS is containkurus when tilted.
Then I want to start learning to make joints, so I made a shelf to hold my small totes. There are 30 lap joints. All done with 3/4 straight router bit in drill press position. My dado set and 5/8 arbor should be here any day now.
Any way, i made it from some old furring strips that had been in the corner for years.
