I know the SS sells brackets that allow the use of the floating tables as either infeed or outfeed tables. I'm curious if anyone uses this system.

I have the brackets and do occasionally use them (along with floating tables) for outfeed support. I say occasionally because I also have a home built outfeed table. They work well.

I have found them very handy. I have been thinking of buying an extra set to use for an infeed table.

They would work well on the infeed side but I have difficulty using an infeed table. They typically get in my way; I need to be up close to the main table and fence.

I bought the system to use as an infeed table. Works pretty well, but as Dusty, I find sometimes it is beneficial to use only one floating table as an infeed. This way I feel better, getting the workpiece to the saw.

I use it mostly to support my panel sled when the panel is too large to alow the sled to touch the saw table.

This is how I set-up for infeed and outfeed tables for long, narrow boards. Note the homemade brackets.

Please talk to me about the wooden brackets attached to the tubes. Actually, after looking closer, I can see that these are your shop version of the brackets sold by Shopsmith (I think). Detailed photos of the brackets would be interesting.

What are the black rings that are used to attach to the tubes?

The Shopsmith brackets have an arm that extends back under the table. This extension serves to cantilever the brackets so that the outer end of the brackets do not drop down. It does not appear that yours are cantilevered. Is that function handled by the bolt and nut in the main table skirt?

I am impressed. Really slick adaptation to the Shopsmith.

I made the table extension brackets from hardwood, and from steel shaft collars. The shaft collars are like McMaster-Carr 6435K180. I tapped the bottom of each collar, and have a bolt up through the hardwood into each. The tie-in to the table for cantilever is via the hanger bolts and a pin into the existing holes in the side of the table. Here is a sketch of the design, although the final brackets are a little different.

Thank you for the feed back. No need for additional detail. What you have already provided answered all of my questions.

I don't have any immediate project in mind but I must have some of these collars available in my shop.

Again I say - Very neat solution to your shop need.

I wish I could still lift my bandsaw up high enough to place it in your wall mount storage brackets . Nice shop area. Thanks for sharing the photos.
