Hi, my name is Randy and I aquired my SS and accessories in Dec and Jan of 2011. I have alot to learn but love the time in the man-shop. I live in Meridian with my family and I've been in the HVAC industry for 30 years.

The SS tool I aquired were:
1954 Greenie with a bandsaw and a Magna jointer
1988 520 with a bandsaw, jointer, planer, beltsander, duct collector, grinder, miter pro, crosscut sled and a bunch of stuff.

I was mislead in my purchase and most of my SPTs' need a little work before they are in tip-top shape but I'm learning will fix things up as time and money allow.

Hi, I'm Ed and I'm located just east of Sandpoint, in the foothills of the Cabinet Mountains. I have posted my history as a SS owner to this forum before, but I can repeat it in brief. I was introduced to my first SS by my dad when I was 12 (1958) and since then have bought, owned, used and sold probably 4 or 5. Currently I have a 1954 frame with a 50th anniversary headstock and a selection of extension tables, front, rear and auxiliary. My SPT's are the jointer, the bandsaw and the DC. I also have and really recommend the improved lathe toolrest.

My woodworking interests are primarily turning and furniture, but have also dabbled in a little boatbuilding. I built a 17 foot canoe and a 10 foot round bottom dinghy.

I like using handtools in conjunction with the SS and sometimes find myself reaching for a plane to prep edge joints rather than turning on the jointer.

I don't post often, but I visit this forum two or three times a week and never fail to find something of interest or value!
