second box on the lathe

here's the second box i've been able to finish on the lathe with the new supernova2 chuck.....i dont have some nice small hollowing tools yet, so its not very deep, but its done!!

no finish. i sanded to 600 and then used a paper bag to polish.

Very nice indeed. I would also like to know the wood.
The thumbnails at first looked almost like a strawberry milkshake in an old fashioned glass.

My first thought was red flame box elder, but I think it's cedar.
Very nicely done in either event and a really excellent presentation of the heart/sap woods.
