Google Chrome vs Firefox

Got weary of Mozilla 4.01 redisplaying all minimized screens every time a new iteration was opened.
I am currently trying out chrome. It is different. The edit screen with this forum is not as convenient.

Clicking on the 'attachments drop down menu does not take you to manage attachments, but merely displays those that have been already 'uploaded'. Neither does it have an display all option. Ya gotta go down below the edit area and click on manage attachments.
Clicking on color, displays a series of color bars that are cluttered with the names of the color. Clicking of one of the bars changes the color of that bar.
Highlighting text and then 'coloring/bolding/underlining... does not get displayed as 'altered', but rather the embedded control characters are displayed.
Smilies - same as highlighted - control characters displayed.
Font size etc. - control characters also
However the preview screen displays the same as firefox.
Not as 'nice' as firefox, but at least is leaves sleeping screens minimized!!!
I am curious why the difference, and who controls the end result? The upper menu bar is where the differences occur. Who is not communicating with whom? SS Vbulletin Google???
