Then I started taking the Er apart. Fist I was worried that this piece would be hard to get off the way tubes.

To my surprise it came off with only a very small taping form my little bitty hammer.
I was just as happy to see these come off just as easily.

Here take a closer look.
Now to figure out how to fix it? I was thinking maybe Electrical tape, or replace the wire maybe?

Then I noticed this it is hard t see but the green felt is deformed does it need to be replaced?
This part looks fine maybe a little contact cleaner is needed but otherwise looks good.

Then after looking at the end plates I noticed the bearings need to be replaced.
So I broke out the Slide Hammer and pulled them. I then Called the local O'Rileys Auto Parts store and the new ones will be in in the morning only 7.99 a piece!
Tomorrow I will see about cleaning up the outside of the motor housing and getting ready for paint.

Ok I realize its been a while but I have had other things happen that pulled me away from the repairs of my SS. But I started Monday getting ready for paint. Well actually last Thursday when I bead blasted the parts sorry I no pictures of the bead blasting but I did remember to take some of the paint job. Here they are. Oh I decided on a Hammer finish Black and a Hammer finish Gold. Most of the parts are Black with a few being Gold as a Accent. Also It looks more of a dark Grey than Black to me.
Capacitor Housing Notice the contrast of the color scheme its sitting on the Carriage.
End Cap for Motor with Info Tag
End Cap for Motor
Motor Housing I think the color of housing is lighter than the rest of the parts that are colored Black.
