I'm new to the forum and bought a SS 500 (circa 1984) a few weeks ago that is now about 1/2 way to 510 (still need floaters and some other bits). I grew up with my dad's 500 decades ago (though when you're 6 they look SO much bigger). It came with the bandsaw and I added a jointer from CL. This weekend I scored a SS Belt Sander though I had to drive from San Diego to Tucson to pick it up (hot!!!) I was rewarded when I got there because it was still attached to a power station (with casters) which was included in the deal, as well as two plastic bins of "stuff" including an original incra jig/fence set up. Whole deal $150.

He also threw in a 510 extension table. O.K, enough background, to my question:

Included with the literature for the power station were plans for a "Power Station Accessory Stand" made of wood for wall mounting. Looks like it holds all of the SPT that work with the power station, the exension table, with room for bits, blades & stuff as well. Has anyone built or seen one? It looks like a great way to store the SPTs if it is actually sturdy enough.

Welcome Hounder. I have the plans but have never built it. As I recall it is a variation of the original SS Plans for wall mounting their SPT's. I am sure that if you follow the plans, it will be sturdy enough.

BTW, what part of San Diego county are you in?

I guess I should be paying closer attention to Craig's List. I could very easily have saved you a trip.

Hi Hounder! Nice to have you with us. Hope you enjoyed your trip to AZ! And congratulations on your find/buy.

Although I don't have the plans, I'm sure that a shelf made like the picture will be substantial enough to hold the SPTs.

I'm in North County on Highland Valley Road. Space is at a premium (as always) and this looks like a good way to get it all in one place.

The seller (a non SS woodworker) had taken the SS equipment from a friend who wanted it all sold. He was not particularly familiar with the equipment except for the picture on the accessory stand plans. Now, if only I could have talked him out of the incra super ts-ls fence system!;) His garage looked like a stuffed cabbage full of woodworking do-dads. He said he'd e-mail if any other SS stuff turned up. I'll let you know, Dusty!:)
