I recently had my headstock serviced and now when I mount it it won't lock down. I remember reading about an alignment but can't find any information about. Can someone help? Larry

You may need to drop the motor and pan to properly position the wedges. It can be done without doing that, but is much more difficult. If you look under the carriage, you can see the carriage lock wedges and screw. The headstock lock is the same.
The wedges must be positioned as far out on the screw as possible(and equidistant from the center of the screw. The wing nut should
almost bottom out against the wedge as the inside end of the wedge presses against the inside of the headstock casting. The back wedge should also just press against the headstock casting. The wedges are then aligned so that the flats allow the way tube to clear. A paper towel core(2) can help hold that position until the headstock is slid onto the way tubes.
