fit Mark V with multiple headstocks?

I was wondering if there are modifications that folks have done to modify a shopsmith to work with multiple headstocks so that you could power more equipment (band saw, jointer, belt sander) without changing. For instance, leaving the Mark V in drill press mode, and adding another set of tubes that would hold another headstock in horizontal position.
links and pics? is there a thread that demos modifications?

One forum member did an OPR station and then used the headstock to power a bandsaw on the other end.
Another has a push-me/pull me drill press with two mark V units mounted together.
A standard dual setup is the jointer and table saw, since the jointer runs off of the lower shaft and is unaffected by the table saw speed.

I rmember seeing a picture from the old (SSF) plant, using 2 ER headstocks and 2 tilt bases, in the manufacturing of the ERs, as well as the early Mk5 units.
Seems to me, that the ER was more suitable to doing machine work on metal, than the early (or current) Mk units.
But then, I could (doubt it) be wrong.
