EDIT- SHOW ON TONIGHT 7-25-2011
I was reading on another forum that a Shopsmith 10er will be on the show Pawn Starts July 25th. Not sure the source of the original information. Have to keep an eye out for it. Wonder what they will say it's worth.

My guess:
Old man - I remember using these when I was in the navy. These things are classics. So what do you want to do with it - pawn it, sell it, donate it?
seller - I want to sell it
old man - how much do you want for it.
seller - well, I looked and the new ones go for like $4000 dollars, so I was thinking around $2000
old man - I can give you $25

I visited their pawn shop when I was in Vegas last fall. My wife came up to me after we had been inside for a few minutes and said "you aren't going to believe what they have at the rear of the store!" My curiosity aroused, I followed her and found out what she was excited about, a Shopsmith Mark V model 500. It didn't appear to have any standard accessories and was marked at $900. Not a bargain but now I know that my wife is aware of my Shopsmith fervor.

It was still there in February and had a price tag of $1000.

Yeah. It wasn't worth much. It ran like hell. I'd pay $50 though.

I did not see the proverbial 'box' of parts and goodies. I sure hope he got one for the $50.
