I just kinda made it up as I went, I tend to do that :) I attached a finished pic. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm especially interested on your favored ways of planning and cutting the many segment pieces. I've got some ideas to explore but haven't gone there yet.

Very Nice. I only wish I could do something like that. Don't know if I would have the patience. How long does it take to do something like that? I agree with mrhart , you should take pics as you go as a tutorial for us newer folks.

I'd like to know your particular method for attaching the bowl to the sacrificial block.

I struggle with this, often with statements like "Wow! That really flew far!!" or "Whoa, That just missed my head!!"
