True Track

I know this thread will be side "tracked" but I would like to get some info from the Shop Smith crew. I fabricate and produce custom concrete products, sinks-counters-fire place surrounds-etc. 90% of the time I am working with 3/4 inch melamine. And most of my processing is repeated strips for form edging.
Now I use a home made wooded track system and my skill saw with the proper blade. I use a high quality rule and a ruler stop (story stick) to repeat cuts. I get perfect straight cuts with no chips at all. My strips have to be absolutely perfect, straight and of true measure each time. I would however like to move up to a track saw. I would like to keep using my skill saw I like the weight, power and cut quality. If there is another saw that would fit my situation better please anyone let me know, I have not been working with sheet goods as long as others on this site.
With the exception of upgrading to a repeater and some day getting up to speed with routers, I don't care about other attachments or uses.
Is the True Track system going to work great with my current saw, most of the pictures and videos I have seen are of smaller or lighter saws?
Can you offer any thoughts on the upcoming repeaters as to help make the decision easier to make the leap before it comes out?
I do like the FT system but don't need to pay for all of the other cool integration of other systems.
I looked at EZ and was not impressed with repeater system, their saw and track seemed like it would work.
What are some of the other nuances that make your system better in your view?
Also I am not asking to put down other systems just gathering facts so I hope this thread won't turn into a pissing match.
