New here, kinda...need help

Even tho I've been a member here for a while, I haven't participated or even checked in, but I'm thinking I should change that but need to figure out the ins & outs of the site.
Here's my question. I note all the little icons above this space to bold or underline, etc, but as to inserting a photo, when I click that one, it gives me the "enter your URL" box. Is there a way to upload a pic from my computer without going through that step, or do I need to upload the pics to a place like Photobucket & use that URL?

Cilck on the paper clip. A dialog box will open. There you can browse for the pix file or also name a url.
The maximum dimensions are 800 wide and 600 high. Each is a limit regardless of the other. The files must fit or they will not upload.

The short answer - Yes. You can post images direct to the forum. The procedure is
here.
If this does not answer your questions, come back for clarification. Until you have done it once or twice it might seem confusing. It is simple - once you know how.

Good question....I learned something....and they said I was untrainable:)
