I have a SS bandsaw coupled to a power station.
Today, when i was cutting some wood, the saw seemed to slow down and virtually stop. No torque at all. When i take pressure off the blade it resumes normal speed.
There is a crackling sound which seems to be coming from the power station or the coupling between.
Has anyone else had this problem and where should I start looking?
Thanx...Danny

Sounds like the splines in the coupler end has broken or worn off. I use Love-Joy 5/8" Spider couplers for my bandsaw.
