Shopsmith Forums

Anyone ever go here, http://www.songofthegreatlakes.com/shopsmith.htm haven't ran into it on the forum, probably already on here but anyway it seems to have some good info.

There is a lot of very good information there and it seems that something new gets posted regularly. We, as Shopsmith users, are extremely fortunate in having this "sponsored forum" to rely on.

Yeah let's count our lucky starts that the "vbulletin" forum actually works well and is easy to understand and use. The Yahoo forums are just impossible to enjoy or understand, But maybe that's just me..................nahh, they suck.

i don't mince words (as you can tell).
There was no indication of any personal attack, the opinion "they suck" was directed towards the mechanics of the Yahoo forums. ALL yahoo forums. I belong to several.
Skip Campbell and I are friends and do business together occasionally.
He spends a lot of his personal time moderating the ER forum, and would have no problems changing over to Vbulletin format if it were easy to do, ie, migrate the tons and tons of data and info from one bulletin format to another. If I knew how to do that I would jump in and lend a hand.
Unfortunately, I don't go there often because the mechanics of the messaging system are counter intuitive. They were probably designed by techies for techies, which..........sucks.
The Vbulletin forums ( I belong to a couple different ones as well) are well laid out, well thought out AND most importantly, easy to use for non tech morons like me.

No personal attack perceived. Actually, I was trying to be sarcastic. I dropped Yahoo from my list of favorite places several years ago. I still have a password and I drop in now and then to see if anything has changed - it does not seem to have.
