Some would fall in the category of "outlandish," perhaps, but there are a number of fine vehicles in those photos, vehicles I would be proud to own. In fact, I know some of the people who own those cars.

Now, my hotrod isn't a show car. It looks great at 50 feet away at midnight. But I know people who build art and spend a lot of money doing it. SEMA is the organization, more than any other, that is lobbying to keep hotrodding a viable hobby in the face of efforts in a number of states to make it impossible.

I thought that '60 Caddy was just plain awesome.
The custom Benz wasn't too shabby, either.
