I constantly have the same problem. However, I have all three ports occupied by hoses.

I have thought many time about building some sort storage that would ride on the back side of the DC3300.

Gotta give that some thought. What I need is a project so that I can accumulate a few cutoffs. Building cabinets and counters was great. There was always a few pieces of wood laying around. Those are all done and I am now destitute.

Thanks for the compliment. I have had a few woodworkers visit my shop each of them have checked that cabinet out and shook their heads in wonder of how little space and how versatile it is. I got the idea for the dust collector tree from a guy buying pvc pipe and fittings in a farm store. It hit that I could build it in an hour. By now it has been remodeled a few times. Fjimp

I am in the process of making a tools holder for the wands and brushes. It is not finished so I don't have any pictures. It consists of 2 short vertical pieces of 2X4 bolted onto the sides of the base near the rear wheels and a cross piece of horizontal 2X4 attached to the upper ends of the vertical pieces.(and overhanging the ends to get more space for accessories). Then there are pieces of large dowels (like wooden closet rod)set vertically into the top of the horizontal 2X4. These pieces are of various heights and spacing to suit the different wands,floor tools, brushes, etc. The hoses are just hung over the handle.

OKAY - you guys have done it now. I pulled the bag and filter off of the DC3300 today so that I could get a good look at the space I have to deal with. I am going to use up some of my cutoffs to create storage for all the dust collector's fixtures, tubes and hoses.

This time I am going to finish it.

I plan to sacrifice about 5" of bag height so vacate a space on the bottom for a drawer. On the back side (within the handle) I'll create holders for the wands and a place to wind up the power cord.

Just a pattern for the base (where the dust bag will rest). This piece will get extended both front and back.

Here is where I plan to put a drawer for the attachments. More of those mysterious stains.

Whose DC are you using as a model? That dusty DC cannot possibly be a normal resident of your shop!:D
