Another quill question??

Post by kaba »

As in another post I recently bought a very nice '82 model. I have a spare double bearing quill assembly but the main spindle is badly bent. Shopsmith at one time listed this spindle assembly as Part No. 514066. But it looks as though they no longer list this as a separate item. Can anyone tell me if this item is still available? This would appear to be the least expensive and most expedient method to upgrade the single bearing quill on my 500.

Thanks much!

He wants the shaft, not the whole quill.

I be interested if they will sell a shaft only.
