Never Quite Satisfied

I have been wanting new flat screen monitors for a long time. My old, big, heavy 18" Viewsonics just did not satisfy me. Biggest problem being that they occupied sooo much desk space.

Well, to help make the decision that now was the time, one of my displays turned green. I could move the video cable and get back normal color but never had real good focus. It has been that way for weeks. My wife, bless her heart, heard me complaining (to myself) about the #$%^^& video. She suggested I get new flat screen monitors and brought me the Black Friday advertisements from the local newspaper.

To keep a long story from getting longer, I now have new HP 20" flat screen monitors and I cannot get use to them being so large and so bright. The great thing is that now I can see them without my reading glasses because they set back far enough to be in my normal vision range.

I just learned though that Christmas came early.:(

A really really 'sad' tale!

So how many did you get?

Early Merry Christmas! You will enjoy them for a long time. The last one I had lasted longer than the two desktop computers. Good on you! :)

It wasn't intended to be a 'sad tale'. I'm sorry.

I got two for $168 total and I moved one of the 18" monsters out into the shop. The other two along with a bunch of the 'old electronics' items will go to a charitable organization (if I can find one that will accept it).

I didn't know you could be facetious.:) I'll have to start reading 'between the lines' more carefully.

swampgator: If these last as long as the two Viewsonics lasted, I may not need replacements.

I went looking for Viewsonics but when I asked, the sales people looked at me like I was crazy.
