Woodworkers,

My old Craftsman tablesaw motor was out so I decided to use my Shopsmith tablesaw for a while. Turns out I missed the old Craftsman so I had the motor worked on. For $100 it runs like new. I did enjoy the outfeed system I cobbled together for my SS so I decided to bolt that to the Craftsman. I think I like it!

Best,
Tom

I really like that. Great innovation. Some people complain that the Shopsmith outfeed table is inadequate. Solution: Bolt it to a Craftsman Table Saw and look what you have. I love it.:)

ME TOO!!!!

All that uncluttered floor space is 'nice' also!

P.S. With floor electrical outlets no less!

Hi Tom,

I used to have a saw just like yours. Was a great saw. That was back when Craftsman tools were the ones to have.

I still have a saw like that one. Is that outfeed setup a SS product or something you invented from SS parts? I might like to build something similar if you have pointers or a source.

Rick, the outfeed setup on the Craftsman consists of SS 510 floating extension tables, a 5 foot connector tube (non-SS), SS telescoping legs with t-joint fittings, 2 foot SS connector tube and shop made wooden brackets to attach it all to the saw. Got most everything from eBay that I didn't have already. The 5 foot tube is from a metal shop in Missouri (I believe) who sells on eBay. The price was much less than SS, someone here clued me in to them.
