This forum got me pumped up on rebuilding this Mark V I bought 5 years ago for $150. It's been sitting in the back of the garage and accumulating rust. The headstock is now completely stripped down of components. Looks like a few things need to be replaced, the speed control bracket/quandrant and he castors for sure.

While down I'm going to replace all bearings including the motors. What is the original color supposed to be? It's painted a baby blue right now.

Original was a metallic hammered green and silver.

Closest today is Rustoleum hammered Verde green and silver.

Nothing wrong with whatever strikes yer fancy!

I don't know where you are at but I found hammered Verde Green and hammered Silver at Menards. The photo is my Greenie I rebuilt this past spring. I sand blasted all my parts while it was apart and then painted them and reassembled them. I cut down the way tubes and made it a shorty as I have two SS and use the Greenie for SPT. and the full size machine for everything else. :)

Thanks holsgo for the offer but it'll be real easy to grab some locally
