I acquired a Mark V 500, which needed some TLC, before offering it for sale. It has all the basic parts, plus some add-ons purchased by the previous owner. In one of the boxes, I found the small "thumb screw" shown at the link below. It looks kind of familiar, but I cannot remember where it belongs, so I thought to ask the ANSWER GUYS for help.

It is one of two 'thumb' screws that hold the tiebar dust shield in place. There should be two threaded holes in the tiebar to receive this and its mate. The dust shield has to elongated holes to fit over the end. The screws can then be turned to prevent the shield from vibrating loose. I believe Shopsmith changed from these to a button head screw.

I think if you have a spare silo you can just use that as is....... grain bin would work as well. Might want to add some flare parachutes to things at the beginning so they float down. I'd start with things you plan to give the kids and they want, let them have to deal with when you're gone.
