First pen turning

I tried to follow all the instructions everyone gave, and since I still don't have all the tools I need this was just a mark up so to speak.
I went with a 100mm body diameter, like those fat pens!
I think I many have made a few misteaks as I did not have the instructions with me while I was work on it. Not a good idea for a newbie at this stuff.
I also used plywood for the blank, it sounded interesting but I don't know if I like the look of it, what do you think?
I had a few places I added green tape to cover up some things that did not look to attractive, maybe there are better ways to do that too.
Weight wise it wasn't quite as light as most pens so I think I will have to go with a slimline next time.
I didn't have a pen ink refill so I had to use a marks-a-lot, the lines are a little fat but it is my first time.
I can see some improvements I need to do but it was fun, especially doing this post.
