Dust Collector

I am looking for suggestions on the easiest way to clean the cloth filter bag on dust collectors? I have used air, & beat it with a broom.

Well just let me say that the thicker the "cake" on it. The better it filters.

If it really bothers you, Shopsmith instructions say you can wash the bag. No, I have not done this.

Then wait for the filter to cake up and catch the insidious teeny tiny stuff again.
