SS Router Table and Incra Wonder Fence

I just discovered this forum but have been a Shopsmith user for some time. I have a Mark 510 as well as the SS Mark V router table. Since I have limited shop space I appreciate having a router table that attaches to the SS. However the fence that came with the table is very basic and I want to upgrade to something better. Basically something that will be more accurate and easier to adjust. The SS Pro Fence table would be very nice but I do not want to incur the expense of both the pro table and the required upgrade to the Mark 520 system. I have been looking at the Incra Wonder Fence as an alternative and have a couple of questions:
1) Does the Wonder Fence work with the Mark V router table? Looking at some of the past posts it appears that it will work with the pro fence table but I have not found any comments regarding its use with the more basic table.
2) If the Wonder Fence can work with the Mark V table is there any other accessory that I need to go with it?
3) Any other suggested alternatives?
Thanks for any help you can provide
Mark

If you have the basic table (ie: the one which hooks into the SPT mount) then the SS wonder fence will not work. The reason is that it mounts on the table rails, but the basic table doesn't have them.
The incra setup can be used with the basic table, albeit in a slightly non-standard way. You would need to mount the table at the same height as the main table, then make sure that the incra fence would reach.

Hi,
Welcome to the site!
Yes you can mount most of the incra systems on your table. If you want to stay on the less expensive side they have a very basic model, in fact shopsmith use to sell it some year back. You can view it here:
http://www.incra.com/product_rtf_ij32.htm
I have one of these original ones and they are handy for rounting, drill etc.
I also have a LS model that if I recall ran me $289 or so a lot of years back, it has been upgraded 3 times now so I hate to think how much I've spent on it but it is a nice unit. So cheap they are not.
On your table you would have one of two basic choices, either mount the unit to your table, meaning drilling for the mounting or to make a base that the incra mounts to, and then you clamp that to your table. I have both options depending what I'm mounting it to.
They do have a side clamp option but I'm not sure I'd like that option... Anyway enjoy checking out the incra site and let us know what you decide.
Here I hope is a link to the older incra jig mounted on a table about your size using holes that shopsmith designed into the table top for just that purpose.

Thank you gentlemen. The Incra site was very helpful as I was confused on how the Wonder Fence fit into the system. I now see that it is an add on to the LS system which looks like a great system but the Incra Jig may be more what I am looking for (at least cost wise

). I will need to do more research to see what works best for me but you have pointed me in the right direction.
Stay well.
