Hi Gang
My wife and I were on a European trip over Christmas and I came across this reusable wooden item from the middle ages. It is a casket.
When used, the dearly departed is put in the casket and it is lowered into the grave and the handle is pulled opening a pair of trap doors and deposits the deceased into the grave and the casket is removed to be used again. Makes me proud to be a woodworker.

You know, it does leave me to wonder why more woodworkers don't make their own.

Just saying ....

I plan on building a CHEAP pine box. It's gonna get torched anyhow.
