A while back (within the last 3 or 4 mounts I think) there was a link in one of the threads that showed a sequence of cutting and assembling miters.
It was a demonstration that showed that even if the miter cut setup wasn't exactly 45 deg. using the cutting and assembly technique a perfect square could be achieved. Example cut 1 45.5 + 44.5 =90 not moving the miter Gage to make cut 2,3,4 etc. all 4 miter corners would add up to 360 deg.
I hope the explanation is clear. Can someone point me in the right direction? I do not seam to be able to find the link.
