I wonder if one of you could help me - I purchased several power stands from a fellow. They were disassembled, including the pulleys and belts. Does anyone have an easy way of telling me which diameter of pulleys and lengths of belts match up with what PST use?

Thank you in advance

Shopsmith publishes a data sheet for the power stands that describes the pully sizes for a specific application. Check the website for the correct info. I am ready to go to the dentist right now or I would look it up for you. The pullies are 1/2 inch diameter bore and can be obtained at a good farm supply store or a well stocked hardware store. I know that Tractor Supply has pullies. Also my power stand's motor is a 1725 RPM not the 3450 that the headstock uses so select the pullies accordingly.
If you have pullies available remember that a 6" pully on the motor and a 3" on the tool the speed will be double and a 3" on the motor and a 6" on the tool will halve the speed.
You may only have to measure and refer to the SPT manual for a proper pully arrangement.

This may help. It is not exactly what you were asking for but it is a starting point.

That last entry entitled "Pulleyguard" was it. Thank you so much.

I have all the belts and pulleys, I just have to sort them out to the appropriate PST.

Thank you
