Hey guys,

After putting my greenie headstock back together it appears that my belt cover is misaligned (notice the uneven spacing around the pipes, and the panel around the high speed shaft is actually touching). Also, I put the band saw back on, and the shaft alignment is off (also see picture). Any help?

the high speed shaft is mounted inside a cam. remember how you ajusted the belt tension? to compensate for this the vent plate is mounted over oversized holes. loosen the screws and place/slide the cover where it it centered the best. hope this makes sense to you.

Ok, that makes sense for the high speed shaft. What about the upper shaft that isn't aligned properly?

Re adjust the alignment of the bandsaw in it's mount as per the owner's manual. Lacking the owner's manual you can consult the sawdust sessions or Nick Englar's videos on You Tube.

Forgot one part, sorry. As for the way tubes (pipes) being mis aligned it is possible that the belt cover slipped down. The screws are into tinnerman clips on the headstock casting and those clips can move. Try loosening the screws and move the belt cover up. The cover should NOT rub on the way tubes
As for the shaft above the vent plate I can't see anything clearly enough to make a determination. It looks to be centered but also what does not appear to be correct is something on the shaft inside the cover. The rear bearing is the only thing that should be visible but there appears to be something else on the shaft inside the cover.
If you can remove the rear cover and slide it to the rear it may reveal something.
