This may be simple or complicated. Just saw this on e-bay. I started to look it up in the catalog, but couldn't see where to start.

For starters, SS did not make it! That is not a SS miter gauge. Looks like someone went to a lot of trouble to push a vertical workpiece offset from the miter bar. Tenon jig?

I would ask the seller to double check that it even fits in the shopsmith miter guage slot. I often have gotten parts with a shopsmith that came from other units (ie: table saws, band saws, etc) because the seller was not the original owner.

I agree that it looks like a tenon jig. A double jig in fact, for it apears able to cut a tenon on both sides.
I also agree that it is not a shopsmith miter gauge, and likely will not slide down the track of a shopsmith table.

For that price, I'd almost like to have it just to see what I might be able to do with it. It is a curious item.
As for fitting on the Shopsmith table - all you need is the proper size miter bar.

Yeah, I bid the $10 to see what it really was. Somone else has bid it up to $13.50 at this writing, so I will back out. I suspect that some of the others here on the forum are bidding against each other for the honor of seeing it.
...... I'll just wait for the pictures and details from one of you guyz!

I hope the 'winner' knew what it was. One thing is for sure, it is 'unique'!
