Everyone has horseshoes I will admit that I have mine today for sure.
Last night I got a phone call regarding my ad on online classified looking for a shopsmith.
The man phoned me and said,
-"are you still looking for a shopsmith?"
*" No Im not I already bought one but I am looking for accessories, I just never modified the add"
-"Well I was going to post mine for sale but then I saw your ad, do you want my shopsmith?"
*"Hm how much are you looking for?"
-"Hm nothing its free"
*...really???... um ok, be there in the morning, thank you so much!"

So I got there and picked it up its an old green machine! Needs a good cleaning and lubricating since its all pretty much seized up nothing moves on it. Im not going to power the unit until its greased up. Unit is missing a lot of pieces but it is free!!!!! as a kicker there is a joiner with it too.
Once I get it somewhat organized i will post pics!!!

right place, right time.......jeez cant beat free......

Score!!

and I thought I'd done good with my $75 510 last year.....

I'd be willing to bet that if you just take it apart, free up the "frozen" parts, clean it all, lube it up nice, that it would be one running little machine in no time.

And rehabbing the jointer is no biggie either.

I am not particularly mechanically inclined. If I can do this sort of thing, I guarantee that anyone can!!
