My goal this year was to file by Feb 15, got both state and federal done today. Federal was already accepted, state just sent 11:30 tonight.
Nice to have it done, refund will be here plenty soon to help pay spring property taxes, I know it is smarter to get 0 back but this works well for me since I've retired.
So how is everyone else doing?

No state income tax here in WA. My federal is almost done...

Our federal is already ALL spent, partly for the road trip to get my Mark V from Nebraska.
Still waiting on state, but I lapsed on actually pressing the "send in" button, I figured when I paid the state filing fee it sent it, but I was wrong, LOL!

Have my Federal about 3/4 of the way done.....still need to do state. Hopefully get it done in the next evening or two. Try to claim enough exemptions to where I don't get much back (don't like loaning Uncle Sam My money for free).

Got the Federal file via TaxAct online on Monday. No state income taxes in Florida, nor on food or prescriptions. But, they clean house on property taxes. Will get my Federal return about Feb. 22, so the email says. Since being retired, just use the easy form. Spent $9900 on doctor, dentists, insurance premiums and lab fees and the standard exemption is $11000, so no long forms. No investments, so it's easy. Going to pay car insurance for a year, buy a new water heater and put the remainder away for that rainy day.

Yes, getting more back this year than I have since the 1990's.
