The strange thing is, many of these joke pictures are based in fact! Two years ago I got a chain e-mail with a stall that had about 15 paper rolls mounted on the wall. As soon as I forwarded it, my niece in Texas was astounded because it was a real picture she had taken herself (as a photojournalist major).
