Just a quick explanation for my many recent posts and responses. I hope I have not stepped on many feet this week. I have been having poor health for the past year greatly restricting my shop time and work. Then I came down (??) with a serious sinus infection at Christmas which may be finally healing this week. Four rounds of different pills had no effect. Monday, this week, my ENT doctor put me on another new pill and an Oral corticosteroids methylprednisolone. He say I may want to clean the house with this medicane. I have been flying higher than a kite this week. Unable to sleep so staying busy. More time in my shop and have rebuilt more equipment this week than in the past 6 months . Old memorys have been must easlier to remember.

If anyone is interested in any Shopsmith history or would like to ask me any Shopsmith question, now is the time to contact me. I can understand how people could become drug addicted as I have had many excellant highs and much fun this week, like old times. So I am enjoying the monument knowing it will not last. Thanks.

The only thing that I had noticed besides the increase in number of messages was that you were making more typo's than in the past.
Here I was visualizing you laying in a bedraggled crumpled heap on the floor struggling to reach up and type out messages with one index finger...
Glad to know that you are cranking along well this week.

It amazing that you are so correct. Plus I am a one finger typest. More messages means more typos, plus I correct as many as I see before posting. I have the beginning stages of alzheimer (stage 3 now) since last summer. I take my pills and pray things will not get worse too fast. I plan to keep repairing, rebuilding and selling Shopsmith equipment as long as I can remember who I am. Thanks.

Hi Bill, you might like this, given the circumstances:

Forgetting where your keys are doesn't mean Alzheimers. Forgetting what keys are used for might be!

You didn't recall my visit last March when I stopped by to see you, but you immediately recognized my handle on this forum as soon as I mentioned it. I am also experiencing a medical condition that requires I take strong medication and I am surprised I have repeated myself in some very long posts. I apologize in advance to those who wonder why I am repeating myself. I honestly wish I knew as well. But Bill & I talked on the phone for over an hour the other week and he shared much- many things I had no idea about & I appreciate that.

I hope you kick this and the warmer weather might help with the sinus problems as for the memory, I am much younger than you and I find myself doing the same thing & it really makes me wonder what is going on. The words I often type with 2-4 fingers are different than I what I thought I was typing. So carefully proofread or ask someone else to proofread for you.

I see more doctors each month now than I did probably in the first 48 years of my life combined. But I found you totally coherent and your memory of your huge shop/warehouse/ along with all the things you have done by experimenting frankly amaze me. For those of you who don't know, Bill is not a wood worker.

I am sorry to hear of the illness. I am pleased to hear the old memory is back in full swing. Perhaps you should write your memories down so all will continue to marvel at your abilities and fantastic advise for generations to come. Jim
