Is there a location to oil the shaft on the 3/4 hp motor?
If so, I can't find it.
I have removed the nut and te sprint and the 1/2 sheave from the shaft and I still can't find any kind of hole to oil the shaft.

This is unfortunate, because I can hear the metal grinding as the shaft turns.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

There are no oil holes. The bearings are 'permanently lubricated'. If noisey, new bearings are indicated. They can be replaced!

There is no oil hole in the floating sheave on the motors with a end nut. Since this is the first motor used in the Mark Vs, it is a 50s model and has seen plenty of use. You will need to replace the bearings and check the motor sheave spacer for wear. If the fan sheave is loose on the motor shaft, you may not be able to repair the motor due to excessive wear. There are instructions listed on this Forum for disassembling and reworking the motor.
