We had a lot of warnings but we lucked out so far. Part of it went south of us and a big part went across Indy but all we had was about 20 minutes of hard rain.
Our youngest daughter recently moved from the little town of Tellico Plains TN to near Boseman MT. The little town she moved from in TN got hit kind of badly. Lot of damage and at least 5 injuries. She had been on the fire department there and today she was listening to their chatter on a scanner. She said it was hard hearing "her guys" scrambling around the mess and not being there...
I had no idea that a scanner would reach that far.

Joplin has a chance to repay all the help we have received. Already some organizations are planning trips to help where they can.

The tornado hit just south of us by 20 miles. The town of Moscow Ohio, in the same county as us, is 80% destroyed. I had to go to the hospital tonight to pick up someone from our church. The ER was full with all the injured and were turning people away. A lot of people from the old store I worked at lives that way. Thinking of them tonight. Reports of 9 dead in the Cincinnati area.

She could have been listening on the internet. Our police and fire are on the internet. A lot of times when I am out in the shop I will pull up the web site and just listen to what is happening, especially if the helicopter is flying around.

Prayers for all those in the paths of these monsters. Family in Bradley Country, TN and Thomasville, GA. So far, Thomasville has escaped such violence. Family in TN also escaped devastation but it is all around them.

Would you believe the areas hit by the tornado Friday are expecting snow tonight.
The damage here in south west Ohio I think has turned out to be worse than first thought. The area of Moscow is devastated.
I found I did lose some siding but nothing major.
