Yeah, I was asking for it, LOL.

My SS needed cleaning and lubricating. It runs like a champ now and I'm happy that I bought it.









Time out on the field, someone has sand in their vagina.

I went out to use my ss for the first time today and the engine makes a whining noise. The engine will not turn. Could I have damaged it by cleaning it up?

Not 'all' the parts, but most of the important parts.

Now AIUI 500 model stuff is no longer 'in production'.

FWIW, the rip fence and extension table are 'backwards ...

I called the company for a couple of parts and they told me to measure the table saw table, it was just under 14". So, he said that it was a 500 and that parts that fit the 500 would fit mine. I guess that mine is the more inexpensive (cheaper) version.

Looking at the machine it is not a 1979 vintage. Your serial number 37866 needs another digit.

I checked it again tonight and my son (who's eyes are better than mine)
Here is what he found: 378877

I really don't know, but do put stock in my kid's eyes. lol.

Is there anywhere else to kind ...

If you get a chance we would love to see some pictures of it.

I know it doesn't have a blade guard. I'm working on that now.

Well, I'm just now figuring out that I'm missing lots of pieces. Today I ordered the Manual for the 500, two power couplers, T handle 5/32" wrench, Woodworking for everyone book and a chuck key x 2. LOL. I know that one always gets lost, it is mandatory.

Are you sure it says Mark V , not Mark 5 ?

What does the vent plate say? Model/Motor/Manufacturer?

It is important to know which 'older' model you have.



You are right, Sir. It is a Mark 5 and the serial number is 37866. The last couple of numbers weren't clear.
