So Simple but So Cool

I've used both the 1/4" routing chuck and the drill chuck for sanding. The drawback on using the routing chuck is time of drum changeovers. The drill chuck (for me) is just easier to use.
I would certainly not want to discourage use of the router chuck for sanding - - . Using this chuck is a sure way to center the drum and is will hold the drum securely.

By "email browser" I'm not sure if you mean the web browser interface to your online email account, or if you meant your email client software that downloads emails to your PC. But, either way, there is no way the link could have provided anybody but you access to your emails or your computer.dusty wrote:My original posting contained a link that appeared to take you (anyone who clicked it) right into my email browser which seemed to provide general access into my computer.
If your email is web based, then anyone clicking on the link would still have had to log in with your username and password before seeing any of your emails. If you use an email client (such as Outlook Express, Eudora, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc) then the link you posted would have only been accessible to you. For anybody else that clicked on it, the link would have tried to take them to a file on their local computer which wouldn't exist and they would get an error.

When I clicked on the original link this morning, it did not try to direct me to a file on my computer that was not there, and did not result in an error message. When I clicked on the link, it prompted me to provide a password to login to Dusty's e-mail account (which I obviously didn't have or try to guess).heathicus wrote:By "email browser" I'm not sure if you mean the web browser interface to your online email account, or if you meant your email client software that downloads emails to your PC. Thank you all for the feedback on my link.
You have reported pretty much what I expected. I had clicked on it (as I usually do) to test the link. It put me directly into my email on MSN (no password requested). That is what alerted me to double check what I had posted.
I had linked to the Shopsmith "Email Special" URL. To use the link, I went to Shopsmith.Com and copied the link from "Current Links" in Limited-Time Email Specials..

Didn't seem to be much interest back then, hope there is more now as pattern sanding is a good thing.
While you are still at it check out this thread

Good Lord, don't put any side load on that guide. I think it's a great idea but a little weak in choice of material.
