They all had flanges or small tabs on the shaft to help keep the plastic stay secured. I guess you could grind those down with a grinder then re-purpose them if you wanted. I might try that one day when I get the SS cleaned, lubricated and aligned. Will have to practice for a while first, as I haven't turned anything in more than 20 years.
