Thanks again for all the help!

I'm back home again after being away visiting my folks, sister, and brother-in-law. We were a little rushed for time, so I didn't get to post much of the back story on that door. Seems he got a "deal" on an odd sized door at a questionable second hand store. Such a great deal that it wasn't returnable and he'd be out the money if we couldn't get it to work. I felt badly, as everything looked like it was going to work out until the primer hit that one spot...which happened to be almost the last part of the door we were painting. He's been in and out of work lately (he's an electician - and we all know how the construction trade has been hit lately), so we had to figure out a fix on our own.

Anyway, once the primer was dried we managed to cut up a flap of veneer and reglue it down. It didn't lay down perfectly, but with a little trimming, and some more primer and paint, I don't think you will be able to notice it at all. We almost got the door hung before I had to head back home. Almost. Hopefully he'll be able to finish it up quickly on his own. He and my sister just had their second baby (my second niece), and I'm sure they aren't getting much rest at the moment. 2 kids under 2. That will wear you out!!!

Now, if only I can get back to finishing off my dresser drawers...
