There is an idiot born every day. Somewhere along the line, the owner had rubber backed carpet glued to the oak floor. Then when that carpet turned to crap, they had jute back carpet put on top of the rubber back. So, now I have to remove two layers. The rubber back is so dried out and rotten by now that it crumbles, but leaves a layer of hard rubber on top of the glue. The rubber has to be scraped off first, and then the glue has to be dissolved with adhesive remover. Once that is all off, I can sand the original varnish off the oak and refinish. Needless to say, I'll be at this for a while until I get all of it restored.JPG40504 wrote:What DAGLUED
