Haha no worries, I'm very thick-skinned (prior Army and current AF), so there's pretty much nothing that chaps my hide online these days

Yes, well only because I don't want to be able to blame my output shortcomings on the machine

Also, I was able to very accurately calibrate everything on the machine to such a fine degree, that finding a "bi-level" table at the very end! was slightly disappointing. Then again, it probably won't matter too much, but I'm going to test it more later to see just what it is and maybe post a pic or measurement.

Nobody has mentioned this yet but shopsmith offers a lifetime warranty on their products. I've read posts that people had tables replaced under warranty for various reasons. If the dip is significant, call shopsmith customer service. It doesn't matter if you are the first owner or not.

Okay thanks for the info - I'll take more measurements and see how exactly the table is affected.

Thanks for those pictures! My wife and I gave ourselves our first "real" camera for Christmas. A Canon EOS T3i. It came with 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses. I'm still learning but after taking a couple thousand "practice" pictures, I'm finally starting to take some pictures I'm not totally embarrassed of. Previously, I've only used cheap point-&-shoot cameras or the camera on my phone.

Also, I'll plug my very tiny website (smithclicks.com) if you're interested in a couple of how-to's and tutorials. It's a non-pay site, so you won't be bombarded by ads, etc.

It's mostly geared towards photography beginners, so if you've advanced past that, no worries

I checked out the site and read the tutorial on post-processing. I haven't moved to RAW shooting yet and have not started doing any post-processing (except cropping a couple photos) as I've been trying to get a feel for the camera controls first. But I do plan to move to RAW (or RAW + JPG) and start learning post processing. So the tutorial and explanation of the histogram helped a lot!

I currently use a Cannon T4I for my Photography and some video(s). I use Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop Lightroom 4 for doing my editing and post processing. Just thought I would add that information for any that are interested in knowing.
