Hello I have an arbor that I think goes with my shopsmith that I got from my dad,but I dont know what to use on it, a sawblade wont go on it, can anyone help me?

That arbor has seen better days! Yes that is an arbor for a model 500 shopsmith and takes the 1-1/4" blades that shopsmith sells. I'm not sure if I would attempt to use that one......
They do sell new ones and they do sell arbors that use the more standard 5/8" hole saw blades.

I am with Ed toss it!!
If you have a SS arbor wrench it will save you from destroying a new on.
If not it might be some thing to consider .

Should have seen this thing before I cleaned it up! it was covered in rust and the nut was frozen to it, I had to take a benzal and heat it up to break it loose!!

I found out recently that there are 2 different blade arbors ,I have had my SS fro 6 or 7 years ,,, one for the MKV 500 and one for the newer tables with dust groves , be sure to order the right one if you get it from EBAY .
