Hi all!

Bought my brand new Mark V 510 in December 1996 in preparation to retire. Used it about 5 times then put it in storage as I moved aboard a sailboat for about 12 years. Now back and have brushed off the dust and ready to make sawdust again.

I do have a question though -- often times when I set up the table saw, the riving knife doesn't line up with the saw blade -- first time this happened the piece I was cutting ran into the riving knife and stopped -- I always double check it now, but is there a trick or procedure to installing the upper guard so that the riving knife lines up each time?

There is a screw adjustment on the lower guard that provides a stop for the amount the lower guard is inserted onto the quill. This also controls the position of the riving knife.

Aha! Thank you JPG. Just looked at the exploded parts view in the manual and located it.
