BIG snowstorm left only about an inch on the roof????
Down here in the valley where I live, elevation 4200', we don't get a lot of snow usually. The mountains is where it counts for our water supply. The Wasatch front is 15 miles east of me. The peaks are 7000' to 9000' along the front range. That is where the snow falls. The ski areas just east of Salt Lake City (15 miles) got 3 to 4 feet of snow from this storm while Salt Lake City got about what we got here.
Snowbird ski resort is about 20 miles from downtown Salt Lake City. Hidden Peak summit at Snowbird is 11,000 feet. They got 47 inches of snow from this storm and average 500 inches a year.
