Thank you for the information. I understand that when cutting wood, a thin piece can become unstable and potentially explode or kick back if the grain direction changes, particularly when cutting along the grain of the wood.

If you cut the profile and than cut the thin piece off you can usually cut the thin stock safely . JMO
