Re: 10ER bearing set and quill end cap
Thank you for the pictures and advice. I may have to bite the bullet and purchase the Timkens. The collar coming is from an eBay seller, so hopefully not the same one you have mentioned.

Re: 10ER bearing set and quill end cap
I have a source for two of the KLL2's and two KLL3's, the official Timken bearings, for this machine. They quote $150 for them before shipping. Does this sound reasonable?

Re: 10ER bearing set and quill end cap
Addition: I did find and order the cap, used, but in good condition.
The bearings appear to be available from Timken.

10ER bearing set and quill end cap

Re: New Shopsmith Owner
Hello. Where did you find the Tilt Quadrant assembly for the 4E? Mine has finally trashed and I need to replace it. Thanks.

Re: repairs in Seattle Area
I am looking for a repair part for an old 4" jointer that came with my old, old shopsmith. The jointer is Model 4E, serial # 10253. Looking for the Quadrant assembly. Might you have a source for this part? Thanks.

Magna 4" jointer repair
Using an old shopsmith for years that came with a Magna 4" jointer; model 4E; serial # 10253.
The Quandrant assembly, which holds the fence in place and square to the jointer table, appears to be some kind of a pot metal (aluminum?) part. The bolt which holds the fence to the quadrant has stripped ...
